Why doesn't my file work with the Kindle option?

If you cannot enable the Kindle reading option for your file, please check these common errors:

  1. Have you uploaded the content?
  2. Is the file you uploaded protected with a password or encryption? The file cannot be protected by any security measure. (You will have the option to select DRM protection on the file when the file imports into NetGalley.)
  3. Is the file too large? It should be no larger than 25 MB for delivery to the Kindle.
  4. If you uploaded an ePub, was there a problem with the .mobi conversion? To check this, please click Manage Titles in the top navigation of your publisher account. Find the title you're working on and look in the Status column. You will see a number of file-types listed. If there is an asterisk next to MOBI, please email concierge@netgalley.com to let us know. Please be sure you've optimized your PDF or ePub file and ensure that none of the common errors are occurring for the file, then you must re-upload it to the _INBOX named with the 13-digit ISBN number. Once you do so, it will import according to the processing schedule and you can enable the reading options.
